Brenda Cowden, ADC
Community Liaison & Family Advisor
My journey to senior living started at a very young age as the majority of my family worked at Dillsboro/Ross Manor in Dillsboro Indiana. I would volunteer as a teenage and later joined the team as a dishwasher and activity aide. My grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer when I was in 8th grade and I spent my summer caring for him. I knew right away this was my calling. I have worked in the industry for over 34 years and volunteered in the industry for over 40 years. I can personally relate to the challenges of being a caregiver as I have cared for several of my family members in their homes and my home. I also have assisted in the placement of my own family members into Senior Living Communities.
I take pride in helping our Senior population find the Senior Solution that best works for them. My years of experience include Skilled, Long-term Care, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Dementia/Alzheimer’s Care, Home health and Hospice Care. My experience as a Nationally Certified Activity Director, Dietary Manager, Social Service Assistant, Caregiver, Housekeeper, Admission Director and Sales Specialist has blessed me with the knowledge to be a resource and advocate for Seniors. Working at Eldercare Connections allows me to help Seniors find the Solution for their Senior Living Needs.
My husband, Kenny and I are members of Horizon Community Church. He is the Church Music Director at our church and also shares my passion for the Elderly. He currently plays at several Senior Communities. We are blessed with a blended family of 8 children and 3 adorable grandchildren with one on the way! We have two dogs Bruno and Diesel.
I am a fan of Dirt Track Racing (especially Clark Motorsports). I am a huge supporter of local musicians ( as my husband performs 6 nights a week at local clubs and restaurants), I love Cooking, Camping, Kayaking, Fishing and spending time with my large family.
There is no greater reward than working from your heart and making a difference in the world. Working at Eldercare blesses me with the opportunity to make a difference in families’ lives everyday!
