Business Development Director
Life is full of moments that shape your life. The moment that sent my life down a path of helping people came twenty years ago when my Mom was diagnosed with a terminal illness. My family was then forced to navigate the foreign world of healthcare to figure out what the best options were for my Mom. Through the tears and heartache, we came together with a resolve to tackle the maze of doctors, care plans, and financial pitfalls while simply trying comfort my Mom in her time of need. What we lacked in knowledge of the healthcare system we made up with love.
Losing Mom was one of the hardest things I have ever gone through, but I like to think that it was what shaped me into who I am today. I made a promise to Mom and to myself that I would share the knowledge that I gained from the journey we went through during her illness with anyone in need. I earned my degree in Business and went into the healthcare field with the heart of a servant to be a leader in the industry and an advocate to all those in need.
I look back at our situation and I really wish we would had reached out to more community resources instead of trying to shoulder the load all by ourselves. When I was given the opportunity to join Eldercare Connections I jumped at the opportunity. Every day I wake up knowing that I get to advocate for those who have been put in similar situations as my family was twenty years ago. I am always happiest when I can help families and professionals through the hardest of situations.
